Protect yourself first
Treat every match as a conversation with someone you do not yet know. You can end any session without explaining why. Trust your instincts, leave if you feel pressured, and do not continue an interaction merely to be polite.
Check your camera and background
Before turning on your camera, look at everything visible behind you. Remove mail, photographs, school or workplace details, street views, badges, screens, and anything else that could reveal your identity or location. Use a plain background where possible, and remember that another person could capture what appears on their screen.
Information you should never share
- Your home address, live location, daily routine, school, or workplace.
- Passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, or answers to security questions.
- Government identification, payment-card details, bank information, or private documents.
- Intimate material or anything you would not want copied or shared.

Use skip and report
Use Skip to leave a conversation you do not want to continue. Use Report when someone appears underage, harasses or threatens you, shows prohibited content, attempts a scam, or otherwise violates the Community Guidelines. Leave the session before gathering extra details if staying would put you at risk.

Harassment and sexual pressure
You never owe another user personal information, sexual activity, images, money, or contact on another platform. End the conversation if someone ignores a boundary, threatens you, uses hateful language, demands intimate content, or tries to follow you across services. Do not retaliate or continue engaging; skip and report instead.
Minors are not allowed
VCS1v1 is for adults who are at least 18, or the age of majority where they live if that age is higher. If someone says they are underage or appears to be a minor, end the session and report the account. Do not ask for images, continue sexual conversation, or attempt to investigate the person yourself.
Recognize scams
Be cautious if someone asks for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, payment outside the service, verification codes, account access, or urgent financial help. Scammers may invent emergencies, promise rewards, or threaten to share recordings. Stop contact, do not pay, secure any account information you exposed, and report the user.
Moderation has limits
Reports and safety controls can help us respond to policy violations, but they cannot prevent every harmful interaction. Do not assume every session is watched or that a report will be handled immediately. Your safest first action is to leave the conversation and protect your personal information.
Report danger through the right channel
For a safety report, email [email protected] with the subject “Safety report”. Include the approximate UTC time, username if shown, and a concise description. Do not put yourself at risk to collect evidence.
