Look at the camera occasionally, not only your own preview. Mute if you must step away.
Avoid eating loudly or having loud TV in the background — it reads as disinterest.
Respect skip and consent
If someone skips you, move on without harassment. Do not follow them across sessions.
Ask before showing sensitive content or changing the tone of the conversation.
